New e-Directory Sponsored by Boston Reed

Boston Reed College, which partners with some 40 California Adult Schools to provide career training in the healthcare field, has renewed its sponsorships of the popular Directory of California Adult Schools and California Adult Education Insider newsletter, which is distributed via email to approximately 1,300 adult education professionals throughout the state. For the first time in 2011, the old printed directory will be replaced by an online electronic directory accessible at the California Adult Schools website. The new, fast and easy e-directory is expected to go live sometime prior to December 1.

It will enable users to quickly locate basic contact information on California Adult Schools and their key personnel. Users can search from drop-down menus to locate schools via zip code, city, school district, and school name. Another drop-down menu allows searchers to find contact information on directors, principals, and program coordinators.

Users can search for adult school personnel by first or last name. There is even a “sounds like” search for users unsure of exact spelling.
The e-directory also works on smartphones; telephone numbers in search results can usually be called by simply touching the on-screen phone number.
